Yay! Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes bag the ‘BEST JODI’ award…!

Yesterday will certainly be remembered as an amazing day for several TV actors, as they were on a certain winning spree.

The Lions Gold Awards 2017 were conducted yesterday and there were a lot of happy faces when the winners were announced. What was peculiar about the list of winners was that, unlike following the quintessential ‘rating topper’ shows bagging all the awards, this year spawned deserving people winning deserving awards, for real.

There were several categories in the awards show and it was Sony TV which swooped away the maximum awards for its leading shows.

While actors Namik Paul and Nikita Dutta aka Shravan and Sumo of ‘Ek Duje Ke Vaaste’ won the Best Jodi (Critics) Award, actor Kushal Tandon aka Arjun from ‘Beyhadh’ won the Best Actor award and Rajesh Khattar aka Ashwin won the Best Actor in a Negative Role Award. The other winners included Ruhanika Dhawan winning the Best Child Star award and Digangana Suryavanshi winning the Favourite Versatile Actress Award.

However, what caught everyone’s eye and the fans went gaga over was the announcement of the Best Jodi (Popular).

And not considered to be a total surprise, the winners of the award were none other than Shaheer Sheikh and Erica Fernandes aka Dev and Sonakshi from ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi‘.
