Woah! Sunil Grover becomes “Gutthi” AGAIN..!

‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ continues to rule the charts where the amazing mix of celebrities that appear on Kapil’s show are a treat in itself. From politicians to sportsperson to TV and film celebrities, Kapil’s show has managed to grace everyone.

And yesterday saw the mega-episode of actors, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma coming on Kapil’s show to promote their upcoming film, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The appearance has been divided into two parts, where the second part will be airing today. However, the ardent fans must have already noticed a glimpse of something that was surprising and unanticipated.

It was that glimpse of one of the most iconic characters, ‘Gutthi’. Yes! You read that right. The character of Gutthi became a phenomenon with ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ where once the show went off-air, Colors channel blocked the rights of the character and name and the fact that no other channel can use the name in other shows.

Kapil’s NEW show was launched with new characters and the show now rules the charts. However, amidst all this, yesterday saw Sunil Grover donning the ‘Gutthi’ get-up which got everyone glued to the screen and wondering if it is happening for real.

Let us clear the same thing, According to sources, Sunil came is dressed as a character synonymous to Gutthi. However, it was cleared that as the channel cannot use the name of Gutthi in the show, Sunil came in dressed as Gutthi in association with Ranbir Kapoor. It was done keeping Ranbir in mind where Gutthi got married to Ranbir in ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ and apparently had a baby too. It was only done to generate curiosity, which was certainly achieved.

Alas! Though we won’t be witnessing the vintage ‘Gutthi’, the fans can be happy just watching the synonymous character on-screen.
