We are all aware that filmmakers Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty are prepped up for their first reality show together, Star Plus’ India’s Next Superstars, which will be kick started on a grand scale with a rap song.
Reports now suggest that KJo has roped in Priyanka Chopra as a guest judge for the inaugural episode before she heads to her family vacation.
A source says, “Besides judging the first episode and giving contestants advice on making it in Bollywood, Priyanka is also expected to perform on some of her hit numbers including “Desi Girl” from Dostana and “Gallan Goodiyan” from Dil Dhadkne Do.”
A leading tabloid reported that Karan and Rohit Shetty have shot the episode wherein hosts Rohit and Karan will be also seen shaking a leg on Golmaal title track and Kaala Chashma respectively.
Buzz is also that Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were earlier approached for the inaugural episode before Priyanka, but they could not make it due to their busy shoots.
India’s Next Superstars aims at eliminating the nepotism myth’ that is the new rage by giving a chance to commoners with no connections in the film industry. It is expected to go on air by early January, replacing Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan and Shreyas Talpade’s ongoing comedy talent hunt show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
