The Shashi Sumeet show will soon bid adieu…
Star Plus’ magnum opus Karn Sangini will soon go off-air. Viewers had high expectations from the show because of its grand setting and the stellar cast. It started with a bang but failed to meet the expectations of viewers.
According to reports, the Star Plus’ show will go off air on 25 of February due to low TRP’s.
Owing to constantly falling TRP’s, the makers also tried revamping the show. Most of the central characters were replaced including Sayantani Ghosh and Kinshuk Vaidya. After revamp, the new plot focused only on Karna’s life. The makers also roped in actress Narayani Shashtri but nothing worked and they have to pull off the plug.
The leads of the mythological drama have already met the same fate with their previous shows. Actress Tejasswi Prakash’s shows Pehredaar Piya Ki and Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya didn’t work for her. Aashim Gulati’s Dil Sambhal Ja Zara also ended abruptly.
Initially, Karn Sangini was based on Kavita kane’s novel Karna’s wife. The story revolved around the unsung hero of Mahabharata, Karna and his wife. It presented the story from the perspective of Karna’s wife Urvi, a fictional character from the novel.
The show produced under the banner Shashi Sumeet Production, stars Tejasswi Prakash and Ashim Gulati in lead roles.
We wish them farewell and hope to see them soon on-screen. What are your thoughts? Drop in your comments below.
