His on-screen besties Munna and Pandit too join Randeep in his off-screen shenanigans.
Sony TV’s Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai struck the right chord with the audience with the first episode itself. Sameer (Randeep Rai) and Naina’s (Ashi Singh) love story that is being portrayed with the simplicity that was a 90’s thing, is being loved by the audience.
Currently, the show is focusing on the college life and romance of Sameer, Naina and their friends. And we must say that the cast is doing a really good job of reviving our college memories where canteen lunches, bunking lectures, signing proxies for our batchmates, group studies during submissions and exams and post exam hangouts and video gaming for boys were our thing.
And our very own Randeep Rai, who essays the role of Sameer in the show reveals that video gaming is what he and actors Sanjay Choudhary and Raghav Dhir who play Munna and Pandit respectively, do during their breaks.
“I have always loved playing video games from my childhood days. Though I own a Playstation today, there is a different element of fun and charm to the old school video games. Mario, Bomber Man, Contra are few of the arcade classics that can never be replaced,” says Randeep.
He continues, “The production house has sourced a lot of different things on the sets which bear the stamp of 90s and one of them is a television video game. Luckily, one of our crew members also had the game cassette and any time we get a break during the shoot, Munna (Sanjay) and Pandit (Raghav) along with me indulge ourselves by playing games on it.”
“At times, the production controller needs to request us to leave it and resume the shoot, that’s the level of addiction for games,” confessed Randeep.
Well, in the upcoming track of the show, the audience will get to see the entire gang bond over video games and will be seen hanging out with each other and enjoying college life to the hilt.
