Star Plus famous dance reality show Dance Plus 5 will soon be back once again but Shakti Mohan who has been a part of the previous seasons will not be seen this season. This is the real reason behind Shakti’s exit…
Star Plus’ dance reality show – Dance+ is back with its 5th season and is being anchored by none other than Remo D’Souza. Unlike the last four seasons, this year dancer and mentor, Shakti Mohan will not be a part of the 5th season.
Remo D’Souza along Shakti Mohan, Dharmesh Yelande, Punit Pathak have been a part of all the seasons of Dance+ and have inspired millions of dancers across the nation. With Shakti no longer associated with the show, it will be Suresh Mukund and Karishma Chavan. Suresh Mukund is the choreographer of Kings United who are the first Indian dance group to win a medal at the World Hip Hop Championship. The crew was also a part of Dance Champions that was aired on Star Plus.
Karishma Chavan is a choreographer who was also a part of the movie ABCD. She has also been behind the scenes; this is first time she will be judging a reality show.
As per sources Shakti was not very keen on judging the fifth season, after not winning any seasons in the past. A source said, “In the past, the other two captains Dharmesh and Punit have won the show with their own respective teams, but Shakti’s team has not been able to win any of the seasons. Shakti had meetings with Remo D’Souza, but nothing really worked out and she decided to finally opt out.”
Remo commented on this saying, “Yes, I did have a few meetings with Shakti, and we were in talks to have her on board, but there were some date issues and therefore, she could not start shooting on the required dates. I don’t think Shakti has any other issues with the team.”
