Did she have second thoughts on doing ‘Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya‘
Actress Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar made a return with Pehredaar Piya Ki’s sequel, Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya this week, and the first reports have been positive for the show so far.
However, no one can forget the controversies attached to the original show and it was abruptly shut down out of nowhere. The makers promised that they will be back with a new saga and the sequel was finally launched last week.
In a vis-a-vis conversation with the actress, we asked her if she had any inhibitions on continuing the character in the sequel after the controversies that sparked last time around.
To this Tejasswi said, “No, I think the biggest problem with the previous show was that it grabbed people’s attention only because of the age gap we showed, where we had an 8 year old boy getting married to an 18 year old girl. Even though the story did not portray anything wrong towards the kid, it gave people a chance to say things about it.”
She added, “However, now we have rectified that and are showing a grown-up man, where even though the age gap is the same, there is a maturity that both the boy and the girl have reached. Hence, now, we are hoping that people will focus on the plot that we are trying to showcase and there was no reason for me to have any inhibitions.”
