Star Plus’ newly launched mythological show, Namah is set to go off-air soon. The show starring Savi Thakur and Tarun Khanna failed to impress the audience.
As per a report in IWMbuzz, the show has not been doing well in terms of TRPs as well as at the digital end. Apart from the Indian audience, the show failed to garner viewership from the overseas market (UK). Therefore, the channel might take down the show soon.
Also, the story of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva’s friendship didn’t work well with the audience and saw a dip in the TRP ratings. Thus, the makers introduced a new track and ousted one of the lead pairs – Vikkas Manaktala and Chhavi Pandey. Vikkas was replaced by actor Tarun Khanna, who has appeared in a few mythological and period dramas. The decision was taken due to the show’s creative needs and falling TRPs.
Speaking to IWMbuzz about the same, Tarun Khanna said, “I have not got any official notification of the same, so will continue to put in my best.”
“Had the makers also changed the presentation of the story, rather than just replacing actors and storyboard, it might have helped,” he further shared.
