Why Siddharth Arora was hesitant on playing Krishna in Krishan Kanhaiya?

A lot of actors do not want to take up mythological roles fearing that they might get typecasted and actor Siddharth Arora is no different.
The handsome man who is all set to essay the role of Lord Krishna on SAB TV’s Krishan Kanhaiya was initially sceptical about bringing alive the mythological character on screen.
He said, “I had already worn those heavy costumes in Betaal Aur Sinhasan Battisi. So, portraying Lord Krishna meant wearing those heavy costumes again. People easily stereotype you when you do similar roles.”
So why did the actor take up the role?
Siddharth elaborated, “Since this role required me to play the modern day Bansuri where I had to wear western outfits unlike the clichéd, I agreed to do it.”
