Colors’ popular romantic drama Gathbandhan featuring newbies Shruti Sharma and Abrar Qazi in lead roles is going off air. Produced by Jay Mehta Productions, the show revolves around a unique love story between a lady cop Dhanak and a street smart guy Raghu. The storyline was refreshing and viewers loved the fresh pairing and the show even got great TRPs.
We got in touch with Shruti aka Dhanak and speaking about her overall journey and experience of doing the show she said, “I learnt a lot in my first show and experienced a beautiful journey full of happiness, tears and lessons.”
Well, viewers appreciated Raghu and Dhanak’s love story and showered them with immense love, yet the makers decided to pull the plug on the show. Speaking about the same Shruti said, “It’s always good to end a beautiful story at the right time rather than exaggerating it for illogical reasons. We are blessed to have immense love from our fans.” On her real life bond with co-star Abrar, she said that she has made a friend for a lifetime.
When asked about her plans after the show, she said, “I have to start preparations for my new projects.”
Reports suggest that the channel wants to make a way for Shashi Sumeet Productions’ upcoming show Aarambh starring Mahima Makwana as the lead and that’s why they have decided to pull the plug on Gathbandhan.
