Colors’ sitcom Bhaag Bakool Bhaag has been entertaining viewers with the quirky tale of Gujarati boy Bakool (Jay Soni) who finds himself married to two women, the traditional Jigna (Shruti Rawat) and the modern Sheena (Hiba Nawab). The many situations that Bakool has found himself in, leaves audiences rolling with laughter and now, the comedy quotient will be amped with the entry of a new character, Bhalu chacha which will be essayed by the actor par excellence Shekhar Shukla.
Related to Jigna and originating from Bhuj, Bhalu chacha’s real name is Bhawani Shankar Babuchak Bhai Chapanariya. He’s a 50-year-old simpleton who always carries akataar, a dagger with him. His takiya kalam is “main toh seedha leta hoon”. A typical small-town man, Bhalu chacha takes everything and everyone at face value, owing to which he finds himself cheated of his belongings on his very first day in the city.
Commenting on his stint in Bhaag Bakool Bhaag, actor Shekhar Shukla said,“Comedy is my forte, and Bhaag Bakool Bhaag is the perfect platform for me to showcase it. Bhalu chacha is a very simple man who only wants to meet his niece Jigna’s husband, Bakool. His entry into their lives will lead to some really hilarious situations that will continue to baffle Bakool. This is my first project with Colors and I am very excited to work with the channel given their prowess in building strong and endearing narratives. I really hope that the viewers will enjoy watching me on the show.”
So, what are the new problems that Bhalu chacha’s entry brings into Bakool’s life? Will the world find out about his dual lives?
