Karanvir Sharma, who is currently seen in SHOWNAME recently recovered from COVID-19 and is now back on the sets. While the actor is in the process of recovering, he admits that he has missed shooting the most while away and now he is glad to have returned. We got in touch with him where he spoke to Indiaforums.com about dealing with COVID, being back on sets, love from friends, and more.
Tell us how did you get through the quarantine period?
My quarantine period was quite eventful, I did get most of the symptoms, it is mentally more challenging than anything else so you got to live up with that. And for me, I try to live up to my expectations when it comes to my health because I know how the whole unit was surprised because they know how careful I am. In fact, I also like to care for my unit but it was unfortunate. I think what I did right was I started medicines on time and that is really important. I fought it really well. What I felt was it made me lose a lot of weight and it has taken a bit of your energy, I try living up to the character and trying my best but there are times when after they say cut, I leave the scene.
Are you someone who panics in such situations?
I have gone on my mom when it comes to that, and I and her are two people who are fearless and we take it as a challenge. I have never never gotten scared of all of this because that is like losing a battle and as an actor, your profession also prepares you in that way. What happens is that you face so many challenges on the job, and somewhere, you have to live up to that challenge.
How does it feel to be back on sets?
I love it, for me, lights, camera, and action is everything. Not everything, but the chaos that happens on set is a different kind of party and I really missed it. I have come for a day or two, but during quarantine, this was the biggest task for me because I can’t sit in one place, I love being on sets and living my character.
Fans trended #welcomebackKV the day they knew that you’re back. How overwhelming is it?
I think that is what kept me going. When I look back in my quarantine, what kept me going is all the love from friends, family, and even co-actors, as they called me every day. The whole feeling was really nice. And fans are so smart, they come to know when they notice that KV didn’t post, so they keep track and they don’t realize that I might be going through something but that’s sweet of them, because they have that right, and I don’t want to disappoint them. All the love that I have been receiving is overwhelming, and that trend made me very emotional because as it is I was very emotional.
Are there any upcoming projects that fans should know of?
There is a web series, the commitments before the show, there’s a film, patchwork for which is remaining, but there’s not a lot. My priority is the show right now to be honest because I want to give my full energy to the show. I have work from before, all that is going to release soon, and I’ll keep you updated.
