The producers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah learnt this the hard way during the special Diwali episode shoot with SRK. A highly placed source informed us that a whopping bill amount was dispatched to producers from SRK’s end as his bodyguard’s expenses.
“SRK’s production house calculated his bodyguard’s bill to Rs 1.25 lakh which was then presented to the producers of Taarak Mehta. The producers were however not too keen on footing this bill and roped in SRK’s duplicate for the role. However, after getting the duplicate, the bill problem too was resolved and the producers ended up getting Shah Rukh Khan as well for the show. Eventually, both SRK and his duplicate will be seen in the special episode,” said our source.
When contacted the show’s producer, Asit Kumarr Modi (Neela Telefilms) said, “SRK’s duplicate is a part of the story and it was the requirement of the script which made us shoot with a duplicate of SRK.”
Asit however refused to comment on the issue of SRK’s bodyguard’s bill. When asked if he had indeed shelled out 1.25 lakh, Asit said, “It’s a personal matter and I don’t want to comment anything about it.”
Meanwhile, we have also learnt that artiste Raju Rahikwar famous in the film industry as SRK’s best duplicate has essayed the role of SRK’s duplicate in the special Diwali episode. When we rang up Raju for a comment, the actor humbly said, “I have done my bit in the shot and yes I play SRK’s lookalike.”
Well, we are sure both SRK and his lookalike would indeed make the episode worth a dekko.
