Vandana Pathak, the talented actor created terror in the audiences’ minds with her portrayal of the evil Gaura in Star Plus’ popular show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Rashmi Sharma Productions).
This performance coming from a renowned actress, usually known for her portrayals in comedy shows came as a big surprise to one and all!!
But Vandana very elegantly marched through the nuances of the character, and performed it to élan.
Yes, the evil Gaura was missed on the show, and her fans reacted wildly to her disappearance, is what we hear.
Now, the lady is back in the avatar that gave her a high level of appreciation.
Vandana talks to us about her return to Saathiya.
“I simply have no words to express my happiness. And I thank my fans for all the love they showered on me, even when I was not shooting for the show. The advent of Gaura in my life has made me happier. And now to return to Saathiya, is a blessed feeling,” says Vandana.
Ask her how she felt when her track was given a back seat earlier with Gaura being jailed and she states, “Well, every story line comes across a point where the goodness has to prevail and the evil has to die down. Hence Gaura was made to move out.”
On her return to the show, the actress ecstatically states, “It feels superb. There are few serials where you want to get back, and Saathiya was one for me. I was eagerly waiting for the comeback track.”
Vandana stresses the fact that Gaura has changed her life. “I had not done soap for ages over the last many years. I used to indulge only in comedy. And Gaura was a great break to create a new image as an actor. I am very happy with the fan following I have. Not that I had less fans earlier, but the kind of appreciation I have garnered now as Gaura is something outstanding.”
What does Vandana expect in her return track? “Well, let’s see how the story will go. I will want to the same love to be showered on me to begin with (smiles).”
