And TV’s Paramavatar Shri Krishna is all set to enter a new phase and for the same, it has been roping in new entries and several developments too. Only recently, we reported about how actor Ravish Desai has been finalized to play the role of Lord Vishnu in the mythological drama.
But now, the actor has been replaced by actor Ssudeep Sahir. The show, however, has witnessed several intertwining changes in itself. Ssudeep will not only play the character of Lord Vishnu but also the role of Lord Ram in the show. While Vishal Karwal was the first one to get replaced by Himmanshoo before the show went in for a leap, Ravish was the latest to be playing the character. But even before Desai could begin shooting, the makers recalled Sahir, who portrayed the character for a scene earlier.
According to sources, the makers originally wanted Sahir to play all the three characters – Lord Vishnu and two of his reincarnations, Krishna and Ram. However, Sahir was apparently hesitant and hence Desai was roped in to play the role. Eventually, Sahir agreed and hence the replacement happened again.
In an interview with Bombay Times, Sahir said, “I wasn’t sure about playing all three characters on one show, but the producers convinced me since Krishna and Ram are the avatars of Lord Vishnu. They believed that the same actor playing all three characters will connect better with the audience, and I agreed after initial hesitation. It’s always exciting and challenging for an actor to do multiple roles. In my case, I am playing three characters at a time, which is unusual and challenging.”
