Rashami Desai is all set to make a comeback on the fiction space with Dil Se Dil Tak, the show starring Siddharth Shukla and Jasmine Bhasin
It’s confirmed. Rashami Desai is the lead actress for Colors’ show Dil Se Dil Tak. After a long break, Rashami Desai returns to the world of TV serials with Dil Se Dil Tak, which was earlier called Sangharsh. The show has been in news since the time it was conceptualised. The cast has seen changes as the makers were unable to lock the right faces. Sanjeeda Sheikh was almost selected but then again there was a change. So, finally the producers of the show and channel have locked the cast. It’s Rashami Desai with Siddharth Shukla and Jasmine Bhasin. There were reports that there were issues with Siddharth Shukla over money and shoots. But it seems, all is sorted now and Siddharth Shukla is the main lead of the show. Jasmine was confirmed as the second lead right from the start.
The show will take Bigg Boss’ slot as the reality show ends in January 2017. The shoot of the show will start soon. Rashami has lost weight and will be seen in a new avatar. She recently did a photo shoot in a bold new look. Though, she plays a wife on the show, she will have a glamorous role. Her character is somewhat like Rani Mukerji’s in Chori Chori Chupke Chupke on which the show is based. (Also Read: Rashami Desai OPENS up about her link-up with Laksh Lalwani!)
This show makes the comeback of Rashami on the reality show space after Uttaran. She did cameos in shows like Ishq Ka Rang Safed and Adhuri Kahani Hamari. She did couple of reality shows and cameo in Dabang 2 as well after Uttaran wrapped up.
Her personal life had also been turbulent for past few years. She got romantically involved to her co-star Nandish Sandhu while doing Uttaran and later married him. The relationship hit a rough patch soon after. They tried to patch up but it did not materialise. They did a music video and Nach Baliye together. Finally, this year they got a formal divorce. That’s why Rashami could not do a full-fledged role on a show.
The lady is starting a new life and she is starting off from where she began, daily soaps. Rashami’s real name is Divya Desai, who made her debut with Bhojpuri films. She made her debut on TV with Star One’s Pari Hoon Mein, which was not a succes. It’s when she played Tapasya in Colors Uttaran. She instantly shot to name and fame by playing the negative role. Uttaran changed the life of Rashmi not just professionally but personally also.
So, after a long hiatus Rashami returns to the same channel that gave her a hit show. Also, as a couple Siddharth and Rashmi pairing will have the novelty value. The show is based on the theme of surrogate mother and is produced by Shashi and Sumeet Mittal who wrapped up Diya Aur Baati Hum recently .
