For Parineeta Borthakur, it was not at all a Herculean task to get into the shoes of Sharmishtha, the tough and confident lady who has single-handedly managed her family and daughter in Colors’ new show, Swaragini (Rashmi Sharma Productions).
However, the transition that she had to make to play mother to a grown-up daughter on-screen was a bit tough for her.
Parineeta who is a mother of a three year old in real life had to bring out all her motherly qualities to fit her screen persona.
Says Parineeta, “Yes, from being mother to my small baby, to being mother to grown-ups was the biggest task for me. However, I was able to get into the groove quickly as I have a motherly attitude in real life. I have sisters as young as Helly Shah and Tejawsi Prakash Wayangankar, and that made it easy for me. I connect to them with sisterly love, and this helps me bring in the required emotions on-screen.”
She adds, “In real life too, I address the issues of my sister with a motherly concern. So this again helped me know the nuances of my character better.”
Parineeta, we wish you luck!
