Along with Niti and Param, the show will also be a comeback for Vikas Manaktala, playing the role of a wrestler. His role is based on Salman Khan’s Sultan and Vikas has been building his physique with rigorous workout on same. Ghulam will take the prime time slot of Life OK and is being touted as the next intense love story on television. The show is produced by Saurabh Tiwari who is currently making Zindagi Ki Mahek on Zee TV .
Niti Taylor fans have been waiting eagerly to see her on a daily soap and this time Niti plays a Delhi girl unlike the role she has been known for. In MTV’s Kaisi Yeh Yariyaan she played the role of Nandini, a South Indian girl studying in Mumbai. In Ghulam, she will be seen in Salwaar Kameez as she plays the girl next door. Initially the pilot of the show was shot with Disha Parmar but later on, she was replaced by Niti. Along with Niti, Channel V’s popular actor Param Singh also makes a comeback . Param gained popularity by playing Randhir in Sadda Haq. The Punjabi boy became a youth icon as this campus show was very popular among the youth. Param plays a rustic Delhi boy in the show and will be seen opposite Niti.
Vikas Manaktala who made his debut with a youth show called Left Right Left also is coming back to TV after a long sabbatical. Vikas had gained lot of popularity when he made his debut with Arjun Bijlani in the show. But later on, he vanished from the scene and was seen in Sony TV ‘Mein Naa Bhulugi’. The show had Vikas with Aishwarya Sakhuja in the lead. The show wrapped up three years back and failed to do anything for Vikas. So after three long years, Vikas will be facing camera again. In between, he got married to Actress Gunjan Walia and now is back in action. Ghulam was the name of the Aamir Khan- Rani Mukerjee starrer film but in this case, only the title of the film is been used and the plot is completely different.
