Rashmi Sharma Productions always believes in casting fresh faces as leads in their shows. And this trend will yet again be followed in their upcoming show on Colors, Swaragini.
Young lad Namish Taneja who essayed the role of Chirag, brother to the male lead Karan Sharma in Sony TV’s Ekk Nayi Pehchaan will in all likelihood play the male guy opposite the two girls, Helly Shah and Tejaswi Prakash Wayagankar.
Yes, a certain section of media had reported about Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi lead Rahul Sharma being roped in for the above-said role. However, we now hear that the newcomer seems to have got an edge over the experience of Rahul.
A source states, “Though nobody has signed on the dotted lines yet, Namish has a bigger chance of bagging the lead role.”
When contacted, Rahul Sharma told us, “Yes, I had bagged the role and was all set to start shoot. But there has been a change in plan. I was informed that they have replaced me with someone else. I have no clue now about who is playing the role now.”
We tried calling Namish, but did not get through to him.
As we know, Sachin Tyagi and Parineeta Borthakur will play the parents. The show also has actors like Abhijit Lahiri and Alka Kaushal playing prominent roles.
Swaragini will launch on 2 March on Colors.
