And it has been enforced by the main lead, Rahul Sharma himself.
In the coming days, you might find the set of a popular new show clean and plastic free as the lead protagonist, Rahul Sharma has taken up a cause and imposed a new rule in order to stop people from littering on the sets.
Rahul Sharma who became a household name after his stint in Ek Ghar Banaunga and is currently playing ‘Rahul’ in the show, Kaal Bhairav Rahasya has recently imposed a fine of Rs 200 if anyone is caught littering on the sets.
Rahul shares, “I see too much garbage lying around on the sets which is not really a pleasant sight. We keep our homes clean but we seldom care about it the moment we step outside. I’m also talking about myself here. I come from a very small town and have grown in the lap of nature. Mumbai is a city of dreams and I wish people treated it the way the city treats us. I just thought we need a certain discipline on the sets. So, I have asked the team to put out a notice board, and anybody caught littering has to pay a fine of Rs 200 and if they see me doing the same, I’ll have to pay Rs 500. To get more people on the sets involved in this, I’ll pass on Rs 50 from the fine to the one who points out the one who’s littering. Everyone on the sets is excited and I hope this becomes a habit.”
Rahul is going the Modi way as he is highly inspired by our Prime Minister’s ideologies, “I love the way Modi Govt. has promoted ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and as a responsible citizen, I’m going to take whatever little steps I can to bring about a change. This is a small step and don’t know about the functionality but we can at least try. Charity always begins from home. When we start treating our city like our homes, Mumbai will have a different face altogether.”
Well, that’s really a thoughtful and much needed step. Kudos to the actor for taking an initiative towards maintaining cleanliness.
