His former co-star Vrushika Mehta is back on the star cast.
Actors Manish Goplani and Vrushika Mehta who were to next be seen on television with Zee TV’s Ye Teri Galiyaan, were relieved of their respective contracts a few months back, as the makers wanted to extend the children’s track for a few more months.
However, a few weeks into the news, it was reported that the leap was happening and that Avinash Mishra, who made heads turn with his stint in Ishqbaaaz and was last seen in Mariam Khan -Reporting Live, had bagged the role of the grown up Shantanu, that was to be played by Manish earlier.
Then came news about how the makers’ original choice – Vrushika Mehta, was one of the front runners to play Puchki in the show. A few days back, the same was confirmed.
And now, in a conversation with Bombay Times, Manish revealed that he had received a call from the makers 15 years ago, but he had already given the nod for another project and hence, he would not be a part of Yeh Teri Galiyan.
The daily also spoke to Avinash who was quoted as saying that it was going to be a challenging role for him and that he was aware of impending comparisons, but was prepared for the same.
Well, only time will tell how Avinash and Vrushika take the show forward.
