This actress from Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya recently had to pull off a stunt and here’s what she has to say about her experience of performing the same.
Renowned Marathi actress, Aditi Deshpande marks her Hindi TV debut with Sony TV’s show, Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya where she is seen as the strong headed Choti Thakurain and Kaki Maasa. On one side, she has undying love and affection for Ratan (Rohit Suchanti) but in the same breath, she detests Diya (Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar) who she feels has been forced upon the family under the pretext of safeguarding Ratan’s life.
As the plot thickens, Diya dramatizes a palatwar in the form of convincing everyone in the family of love blossoming between her and Ratan, which infuriates Kaki Maasa, who now wants to get back to Diya and teach her a lesson. But things do not go as planned as Kaki Maasa is trapped in her own setup.
As seen in yesterday’s episode, Kaki Maasa attacks Diya with an aim to kill her, but she soon finds out that Diya is not present in the room but just then Diya is about to enter the room. To avoid getting caught, Kaki Maasa runs to the bathroom to hide but unfortunately the door jams and she gets locked out. Now with no other way to escape, Kaki Maasa decides to break open the door.
Looks like the makers took inspiration from their other Sony TV show C.I.D., Kaki Maasa uses the axe in her hand to break open the bathroom door.
But breaking the door wasn’t that easy for Aditi initially. She had to practice breaking several doors before she finally got this one right!
Says Aditi, “Honestly, it was really tough to break that door. But I thoroughly enjoyed practicing. Initially, I just couldn’t get it right and it was quite funny. However, the production team encouraged me and asked me to see some CID videos of Daya breaking the doors and get inspired! It indeed helped! (laughs). On seeing Daya, I felt a new zest in me and started practicing much harder and finally broke that door! The most hilarious moment was when everyone on the sets during the shoot started shouting slogans ‘Daya, Darwaza Todo’… when I just couldn’t get the shot right. But all’s well that ends well. We just got the perfect shot that we were aiming for! Jai Ho Daya Ji Ki!”
We’re pretty sure that this scene would definitely be one of Aditi’s most memorable scenes in her illustrious career.
