The young man will soon be seen playing one of the leads in Shaadi Vaadi, a short film produced by Nikhil Advani for MTV Films.
We got in conversation with the dimpled guy and got him talking about Rangrasiya, TV, films and a lot more.
Shedding some light on his character in Shaadi Vaadi, Vishal shared, “I play this young guy who comes from a very well to do family but is a rebel in nature. The short film is a very sweet and interesting love tale which I am sure viewers will really enjoy. I will not want to give out much detail so that people can have fun watching it.
Personally I had the time of my life shooting with such a talented and oung crew.”
When asked why he decided to be a part of a short film, the actor confessed, “Look at my show graphs. I have never done a similar role or project. For me it is important to play various characters with a different body language and attitude. So when the offer came my way I was really excited to try something new and thus gave my nod for the same.”
So what does he have to say about the trend of short films in India? Vishal quipped, “It’s a very positive change. I frankly believe that there should be a cut-down on dramatic daily shows and new stories should be experimented with. Also I feel the insecurity of TRPs should go away. Makers should not compromise on content and just go with stories on hand rather than dragging it for TRP games. An actor doing a regular role can lead to boredom and that is why it’s important for us to try different things.”
We then asked the actor whether he felt bad with the way his character was wrapped up in Rangrasiya. “Not at all, for that is how my character had been planned in the show. I was really happy with my stint in the show. I also maintained that I did the role as a sweet gesture for producer Saurabh Tewari who is a friend.”
Sharing about his movie plans, Vishal stated, “Every actor dreams about being on the big screen and I have a few projects lined up. The shooting for 1920 is almost done and it should release by October. Also there is a film that I would start doing but I can’t really talk about it at the moment.”
And with the latest season of Bigg Boss all set to roll, we asked him who tops his wish list as a contestant. “I think I would love to see Salman Khan in the house. It’s a different ball game altogether when you are inside the house and I would surely want him to experience that fun.”
Well-said, Vishal!!
