Actor Hussain Kuwajerwala who is hosting Zee TV’s talent hunt show talks about his association with the channel, about the show India’s Best Cine Stars Ki Khoj and more in this conversation with us.
Learning never ends. It’s always good to learn irrespective of the experiences you have. This is exactly what actor-host Hussain Kuwajerwala opines too. Maybe that’s why he is enjoying every bit of hosting the reality show India’s Best Cine Stars Ki Khoj.
“It has been a wonderful experience with the show till now. I’m hosting such a kind of a show for the first time,” says Hussain who is anchoring the show along with actor Vishal Malhotra.
Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj is an acting talent hunt show. The first episode of the show was aired on Saturday and is being judged by Sonali Bendre, Victor (Vijay Krishna Acharya) and Anurag Basu. So, what do you think about the show’s concept? “It’s a great platform for people who wish to make it big. It’s a place where you would find mixed emotions. It’s a place where dreams come true for a few… while for others, it gets shattered.”
“The top 12 contestants come from different parts of the country and are very talented. Here, you would get to see good acts and enjoy them as well. For me, it’s like reliving earlier days. Moreover, it’s been a good learning experience under the guidance of great mentors who provide you with valuable inputs every time.”
Expecting a positive feedback from the viewers, Hussain believes that it’s important to make the show entertaining enough in order to build a connection with the audience. Co-incidentally, both the hosts of the show, Vishal and Hussain, have a special bonding with Zee TV as they began their careers on this channel.
In addition, Hussain forayed into films last year with Shree. Though the film couldn’t manage to leave an impression, people appreciated Hussain’s acting skills. So, any lessons learnt? “See… ups and downs are a part and parcel of life. We just need to keep on trying harder. Success or failure should not decide whether your decision was right or wrong.”
Besides, Hussain is seen anchoring a show after a long time. What kept you away? “My play Zangoora at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon kept me busy. Till now, we have done 1300 shows of it and that’s quite an achievement. Besides, I’m waiting to work hard on some good projects,” explains he.
Currently, there are no preferences on Hussain’s list. “With films being my priority, if television offers me some good opportunities, I would certainly do,” sign offs Hussain.
