Handsome Gaurav Chopra talks about his interest and love for novels with us.
Yes, it is Sunday again. The day to get a lot of variation from the regular articles. So this time we thought of getting some interesting facts from our dear actors of the tinsel town.
What’s new? We thought of asking these talented actors about their favorite novels they have read and the one’s on their wish list. So this time we have Gaurav Chopra who is loved as Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore in Colors show Uttaran for this special Sunday feature. But before you read onto what he has to say about his favorite book, we have to tell you’ll he is an amazingly awesome avid book lover. While we were speaking to him regarding our feature, he just left us astonished by the choice and kind of books/novels he prefer to read.
Have a look to what this smart man has to say –
“I like to read classic books mainly autobiographies and my favorite book is also an autobiography by Marlon Brando titled as ‘Songs My Mother Taught Me’. This is a novel I feel has honest attempt to connect with its readers. Author Brando has written beautifully about his own life happenings, his memories as a struggling actor and about his various relationships which have been with other actors, producers and directors.”
“The way the author has depicted the incidents is commendable and he has portrayed his relationships which relate to me a lot as being an actor I can connect to it very well.”
Further he says, “I don’t really go reputation wise of an author instead it depends on the cover page of the novel which grabs my attention. I pick the novel by looking on to its cover and the title although people say that ‘You can’t judge a book by its cover’ but you can judge a little bit of it which strikes your mind to go for it.”
When asked about his craze for reading Gaurav continued by saying, “I have a balcony where I like reading. I read every day for around 1 to 2 hours. Reading is something that everyone should continue to do, if not more than try to read at least 2-5 pages on a daily basis, it is a good habit as it teaches you to be more patient in life like people nowadays in every minute change TV channels, reading helps to open up the imagination, visualization power. Although we are living in the world of internet, books help us to be calm and many a times we can relate personal experience by reading novels.”
Well Gaurav Chopra you truly seem to be a big time book lover!
