Star Plus’ Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil was in the news recently when actress Additi Gupta who played Sanjana in the show, put in her papers. Additi was not satisfied with the way her role was shaping up.
And following the suit is another actor from the lot.
The parallel lead of the show, Laksh Lalwani who essays the role of Veer has quit owing to the one and only reason – creative dissatisfaction.
Laksh was quoted by a leading newspaper saying that he wasn’t convinced with the way his character was shaping up. He also revealed that he had completed shooting for the show last week.
Not only that, the actor also addressed rumours of his link up with his co-stars Rashami Desai and Additi Gupta.
The actor feels that tagging Rashami as someone who is in a relationship with a younger person was demeaning to her. On his link up with Additi, he said that just because he was single and close to Additi, he was linked to her.
Luck has favoured Laksh and he will soon be seen in Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s project Porus, in the lead role on Sony TV. He also clarified that he did not quit ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ for Porus and that this was a sheer co-incidence.
We wish Laksh all the very best for his future ventures.
