Ankit Mohan, who was last seen in Balaji Telefilms’ ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ is gearing up for his next project (his debut Marathi movie).
The actor will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar, for which he needs to fluently speak Marathi. He was facing trouble to get the correct dialect of the language, so his wife Ruchi Savarn (last seen in Tamanna), who is from a Marathi background, came to his rescue.
The duo met while shooting for ‘Ghar Aaja Pardesi’, graduated to become husband-wife last year and is now sharing a teacher-student relationship.
“To get the correct dialect was the biggest challenge for me. I was planning to join classes to learn Marathi, but then my wife suggested, that she would teach me the language. Everyday with a stack of Marathi books and a stick, she sits with me to teach and refine Marathi dialect. The funny part is that she also gives me homework and punish me if by any chance I forgot to finish it,” says Ankit.
