Kartik & Naira to SEPARATE; 2 year LEAP & ‘Yeh Rishta..’s storyline to SHIFT to Mumbai

And all of this will happen in the aftermath of Shubham’s death in the show.

Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will telecast some high voltage drama and no, we are not referring to Shubham’s (Gaurav Wadhwa) death.

Soon, Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira (Shivangi Joshi) will be seen separated, the show will take a 2 year leap and the Singhania famly will be seen moving to Mumbai.

While the entire family will be worried for Shubham’s out-of-control ways, Naira will try to dig in closer and get Shubham to confide in her about his issues. However, she will eventually find out about Shubham’s drug addiction and will want to inform the family about it.

But Shubham will beg her not to, and will be seen promising Naira that he will soon try to lessen his drug intake and change. He will also tell Naira that he wants to be the one to confess about his messy situation and apologize to the entire family.

However, failing to de-addict himself, Shubham will end up overdosing and will die, on the occasion of Kartik’s birthday.

When the family will find out about Naira knowing of Shubham’s addiction, they will berate her for not telling them. Dadi (Swati Chitnis) will go on to blame Naira for wanting to be oversmart and wanting to deal with problems on her own. She will also taunt Naira about how ever since she has entered the Goenka household, Naira has always brought upon problems for the family.

This will lead to Kartik throwing Naira out of the house and the show will take a leap of 5 years, post which we’ll see the track and setting of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai move to Mumbai.
