This romcom was the story of Guddu and Funty who are obsessed with the ideas of romance
Paras Arora and Shivani Badoni starrer TV show Baavle Utaavle has been shelved and will go off air by the end of next month. The show started in February this year and due to low TRPs, it was recently revamped into a romcom. But the revamping too failed to create any magic numbers and hence the makers resorted to the show getting all wrapped up.
Talking to the Times of India, producer Ranjan Shahi said that they have decided to end the show some time next month. They were aware of the risk involved while making an experimental and quirky show like this. Though it did not do as well as he had expected, he is happy that they experimented with a different genre. It was an enriching and positive experience for the team and him. The idea is to make shows with conviction, which work sometimes and fail the other times, but it’s important to keep innovating.
Actor Paras Arora too in a chat revealed that unfortunately, the revamp failed to generate ratings, but he is happy as an artiste. He said that this experience was more satisfying than the daily soaps, as he got to explore his craft. Comedy isn’t an easy genre. He added that he has been part of long-running shows in the past, but even the biggest of actors can’t guarantee the longevity of a show.
True that. The show Baavle Utaavle was a sitcom earlier and it was revamped into a light hearted romantic comedy but still the audiences failed to turn towards the show resulting in it’s early wrap.
