After enjoying a humongous fan following, courtesy Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke…one of the most loved actresses of the small screen Mahima Makwana is mesmerizing audiences in a new avatar.
The actress, who plays Radhika on &TV’s reincarnation drama Adhuri Kahani Hamari, talks about her reality shows, equation of character, onscreen intimacy and more…
Firstly, how do you manage your studies and acting? She quipped, “I am in my junior college. My college timings often clash with my shoot shifts so I am not able to attend college. I miss that life though. But now I am quite used to it so there is not much of an issue related to my studies. I have become a multitasking person… I can shoot and study simultaneously!”
How does it feel when audiences appreciate your talent? Mahima averred, “It feels like I have accomplished my goal. I feel motivated and try to give my best performance. I feel appreciated when people talk about my acting skills and talent.”
So are you open to essaying a negative role onscreen? “If it is challenging enough, I can give it a thought. But I am not very keen on portraying a grey character. Negative role has growth, along with being performance-centric…like a psychopathic character, which is a challenging job,” said the girl.
What about reality shows, are you keen to be a part of them? Mahima shared, “I would love to do Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as I am good at dancing. But not Bigg Boss… as you have to be a little prepared to be a part of such a show. One has to be matured enough to handle a show like that.”
So tell us about your equation with your co-actors? “We share a good equation onscreen. Laksh and I keep pulling each other’s legs. And the fun part is that off-screen too we tease each other a lot. I believe that if two people don’t share a great bond off-screen, it doesn’t reflect onscreen either.”
Are you seeing anyone? She laughed and said, “No.”
Talking about qualities of her ideal man, she shared, “I want my ideal man to be decent. He should respect girls and elders. He should be loving, supportive and a good person.”
Are you comfortable with onscreen intimacy? “Ahhh! It depends. But it should not be too much. Performing such scenes in front of a huge cast and crew is rather different,” said the beautiful actress.
Which Bollywood role would you like to replicate? Mahima said, “I would like to portray Kajol’s Simran from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Alia Bhatt’s Veera from Highway. Also, I would love to romance Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor.”
Lastly, any message for your fans? “Thank you! A warm hug to all my fans for supporting and loving me,” signed off the actress.
