The actress will be a debutante…
Sony TV’s popular show, Chandragupta Maurya is all set to enter a new phase soon where actor Faisal Khan will be taking over from child actor, Kartikey Malaviya. This certainly is a new chapter in Faisal’s life where the actor used to be the one playing child avatars in his previous shows but now that he is grown-up to be in his teenage, the actor is playing this new character in his teen years.
Faisal’s look as Chandragupta Maurya has already created a lot of buzz and his entry will telecast soon too. And now, with time passing by, the actress who will be playing the female lead in the show has also been finalized. That will be none other than actress Aditi Sanval, who will be making her debut on the small screen.
She will play the role of grown-up Durdhara, Dhana Nanda’s (Sourabh Raaj Jain) sister and the princess of Magadh. In her quote to Bombay Times, Aditi said, “I’m pretty excited to make my acting debut with a grand show like ‘Chandragupta Maurya’, which is being produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, who is known for his expertise in the historical and mythological genre. What’s exciting about my character is that it’s layered. I’ve done theatre and a couple of ad films, but doing a full-fledged historical show? I never saw that coming. I am glad that there is enough scope for me to learn as the women on the show have strong characters and are as important as their male counterparts. I’m looking forward to learning on the job.”
