After swooning us all with her gripping psychopath in Beyhadh, Jennifer Winget is all set to come back with a bang on Indian television screens with her upcoming show Bepannaah. The show co-stars Harshad Chopra and Sehban Azmi opposite the gorgeous actress in the lead role. Bepannaah’s promo released recently and fans are already way too excited to her bring life to a new character.
The on-air date of the show has not been revealed yet but Jennifer recently spoke to a section of media and spilled some beans on her character in the upcoming show.
Speaking about the show, Jennifer said, “Moving on from Maya on Beyhadh, which has been, by far one of the most benchmark performances in my career as an actor, Bepannaah has been created as very different from it. Get prepared for a very unique and interesting love story about second chances, about the breaking of society’s perceptions and judgements. We don’t really have intense love stories nowadays on TV and with Bepannaah that is what we’re trying to do. It’s high on emotions and will be a show that anyone in love, both young and old, will relate to.”
“The script was too gripping to put down and will bring you unfamiliar, non-cliched and real sides to a love story that will keep you hooked to the storyline. All I can say is that it only gets better as it unfolds,” she further added.
That’s not all! Talking about her character Zoya, she revealed, “I play Zoya, a warm and sombre, cultured yet progressive Muslim woman who’s had the best life, a great upbringing and a blissful life with her husband. A certain incident changes all that for her and brings her to realise her strengths and weaknesses.”
While talking on working in the forthcoming show, Bepannaah, the actress stated, “Moving on from Maya on Beyhadh, which has been, by far one of the most benchmark performances in my career as an actor, Bepannaah has been created as very different from it.
She also said that the screenplay was too fascinating to say no and will bring audiences new, non-clichéd and genuine colors to a love tale, which will keep them hooked to the plot.
Narrating about her character on the novel show, Jennifer disclosed that she will be seen playing the role of Zoya, an affectionate and serious, educated yet liberal Muslim female who’s had the superlative life, a great childhood and a heavenly life with her hubby. A certain episode transforms all that for her and gets her to comprehend her powers and limitations.”
Talking further, she disclosed her character’s appearance on the show and stated, “Zoya’s look and character mood are styled by a close friend of mine, stylist, Amrita Chavan. The silhouettes will be very dreamy and flowy, predominantly in pastel tones, accessorized with Bohemian accents now and then.”
This will be the actress’s primary show for the popular channel, Colors.
Talking about it, Jennifer said, “Bepannaah is close to heart more so as I will be working with my very dear friend, ace director, Aniruddha Rajderkar who conceived Bepannaah from scratch to finish. Aniruddha and I go way back, he also directed Dil Mill Gaye. To work with Cinevista yet again is just an added plus and the cherry on my cake.”
