While the show follows the concept of women facing such problems, this actor shares a message on the same..
It’s been only a few months since Life OK show ‘Ghulaam‘ went on-air, however, the popularity of the show is immense and growing day by day. The show is inspired from real life instances which are prevalent in our country but have not been depicted before.
Hence, through ‘Ghulaam’, the various atrocities faced by women are coming to fore. Param Singh, who is seen essaying the titular role in the show ‘Ghulaam’ says he has been able to identify different kinds of violence and crime against women because of this show.
“Living this character every day, I have closely understood how grave these issues are, it disturbs me to know something like that still prevails. What surprises me is there are so many violent crimes made against women which are going unreported and unnoticed.” commented Param Singh.
The actor, who is seen essaying the role of an anti-hero Rangeela, says, “I feel women should not remain quiet in the face of atrocities, and rather, they should speak about these issues. It will be good to know someday that there is an increase in thenumber of women who are reporting the issues rather than the increase in crime,” Param said.
He further adds, “I would urge more women to speak up but the sad part is many still remain silent in face of violence because they are either afraid of societal norms or people pointing fingers at them. I am glad to be getting the opportunity to do ashow like Ghulaam which highlights such issues and is making people aware of such instances.”
