The actress makes her comeback to small screen after a hiatus..
‘Dil Boley Oberoi‘ is all set and rolling to air in a couple of days and one of the biggest reasons for the excitement about the show has been the comeback of actressShrenu Parikh.
The actress became a household name courtesy her role in ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon… Ek Baar Phir.’ However, once the show went off-air, the actress took a small hiatus and the wait for her comeback to the small screen became a long one.
And now, after a span of almost 2 years, Shrenu makes her comeback with India’s first ever spin-off show, ‘Dil Bole Oberoi’ where she is paired opposite actor, Kunal Kulbhushan Jaisingh aka Omkara.
While, the’Ishqbaaaz’ family has a very sophisticated, rich and suave look, Shrenu’s character of Gauri has a rather rustic and rural look along with her accent in the show.
In a vis-a-vis conversation with the actress, we asked her how did she prepare for playing such a character, to which she said, “I cannot tell you how difficult it was for me! I started watching the ‘Mahua’ channel to get into the skin of the character. In fact, now, I have probably watched all films that star Monalisa (Antara Biswas) in trying to obtain that accent and play the character of Gauri (laughs).
We can understand this as she is a Gujarati in her real life and toplay a rural character having a Bhojpuri accent would have been a task. So, we asked her, if it was difficult to fit into the character, to which she said, “Rather than difficult, I think it’s a challenge, which is actually good. I waited so long for this and of course, I had to put in those extra efforts but that is what is amazing. Now, I am very happy with my look, the whole team, the concept and my co-stars. The promos have been amazing and I am really looking forward to it and waiting for the reactions of people already.”
We wish Shrenu all the best for this NEW chapter..!
