The show is great for audience looking for spiced up controversial drama on the lifestyle of rich socialites. It is a perfect watch for those interested in having a closer look into the lives of these filthy rich women and find what lies behind their parties and profligate lifestyle
Zee TV recently announced their one of a kind reality show titled Dilli Darlings. Produced by Essel Vision Group, the show gives a closer look into the lives of ten gorgeous ladies from the capital of the country, who are known for their style, glamour and lifestyle. The channel also dropped several individual promos of the ladies, speaking about their lifestyle and family.
About the show
The concept of the show is pretty new for the Indian audience. However, the show seems to be loosely inspired by the American reality show, The Real Housewives. The show starts with showcasing the extravagant lifestyle of the participants along with their introduction. From housewives to self-made women, the makers have brought them all together and tried to give a closer look into their everyday life. The ladies while introducing themselves, explain what makes them a ‘Dilli Darling’.
Meanwhile, the show also depicts their non-glamorous side by showcasing their family bond – their relationships with their husbands and children. Though their traits are different, the one thing that binds them together is ‘party’.
What did we like?
We liked the concept of the show and how the makers have brought all these ladies from different professions and backgrounds together. The show can be a good watch for those who enjoy watching Masala, controversies and rich, classy lifestyles of socialites.
What we didn’t like?
The concept is great but there was scope for better execution. The show focuses more on partying than other less explored elements, making the show a bit monotonous. There is no element of struggle or challenge that these women had to face to overcome and reach a status in society; lacking emotions and intensity. Moreover, a few scenes are repetitive adding to the monotony.
Verdict
The concept of the show is pretty good but the makers could have worked more on the execution part – scenes were not aligned well, introduction went too long plus the screen space for each participant varied. The show is great for audience looking for spiced up controversial drama on the lifestyle of rich socialites. It is a perfect watch for those interested in having a closer look into the lives of these filthy rich women and find what lies behind their parties and profligate lifestyle.
