Star Plus’ is coming up with a spin-off of one of its longest running shows, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
The buzz about the same has made fans super curious about the leads and story of the show.
Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is already making head turns with its stellar cast including television’s heartthrob Shaheer Shaikh, Ritvik Arora, and Rhea Sharma.
In a candid chat with us, the producer of the show Rajan Shahi said, ‘Shaheer Shaikh was the first choice for the show. The characterization of Abeer is such that I could only find Shaheer apt for the role.’
Equipped with this piece of information, we asked Shaheer his take, to which he said, ‘When I read Abeer’s character, I could totally relate to him, as I feel I am very similar to Abeer. His lifestyle, his behaviour, and everything felt too similar to me. So much so that I asked Rajan Shahi if at all he was stalking me unknowingly to take inspiration for Abeer’s character.’
