As the actor readies upon to embark this journey, we decided to speak to him and get more details about his show.
Firstly talking about his show, Kanwar shared, “Bunty is not a village boy but a modern and educated guy. Although, from heart he is deeply rooted in his culture. The guy respects one and all and spreads happiness all along. He is loved by everyone and is a bit different from the typical guys in Banaras.”
“The show was titled ‘Banaras Ka Bunty’ but then we changed it to Hum Hain Naa as that is the line Bunty keeps telling everyone to soothe them out of their troubles. I am sure that people would fall in love with the character completely,” added the actor.
Kanwar, who started off with shows like Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and followed it with The Buddy Project and Do Dil Ek Jaan, stated that this is the character he relates a lot in real life too. “I am very much like Bunty in real life and that is the reason it wasn’t a tough task. The character is such a beautiful one that I am really having a great time shooting.”
The team recently shot on the banks of Banaras and the young guy was amused seeing the locals so excited about shoots. “Although it was really hot we had a wonderful time shooting there. Everywhere we went, crowd would gather and shout out our names. The camera definitely amused them and they were enjoying having us there.”
Talking about his co-stars Kanwar said, “Shubhangiji (Gokhale) is my onset Maa who takes care of me completely. Since we have been together from the first shot it has become a special relationship. Pratyusha (Bannerjee) is of my age and thus we bond well. She is a chilled out person.”
And finally when asked about the response from family and friends, the actor beamed, “It had been really positive and when biggies of the industry call up dad (actor Deep Dhillon) and congratulates him it’s a great feeling. Also since this is my first show where I am playing the lead from the start, the excitement level has surely touched greater heights.”
Cheers to that Kanwar!!
