Doing a comic role is exciting and fun: Hiba Nawab

The selfie queen, and style icon Hiba Nawab is looking forward to a successful time ahead with her new project Bhaag Bakool Bhaag. (Edit II)

The show will be aired on Colors TV. It is loosely inspired from Govinda’s Saajan Chale Sasuraal and Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karu of Kapil Sharma.

The serial is about Bakool (Jay Soni) getting married tow women- Sheena (Hiba) and Jigna (Shruti Rawat). How the confusion creates troubles in his life is for all to see.

Hiba, for the first time will be experimenting with comedy. Her character of Sheena is the urbanized wife of Bakool, who is classy, beautiful, and dominating.

You have always done serials on top GEC’s like Star Plus, Zee and now Colors. How does it feel?
(Excitedly) I feel blessed. I am lucky in this case, and not everyone gets a chance like me. I started with Star Plus and the very next thing I wanted to do was Colors but I ended up doing Zee. I have been waiting for Colors show and now I have got it. It’s completely a different genre and I am going to make people laugh.

How difficult is it to play a comic role?
Actually, it’s fun for me. Initially, I thought it would be very difficult for me but the director, writer and makers of the show are very helpful. They are supporting me on each and every step. Moreover, it’s fun and I think I should do comedy because it’s so light, and no rona dhona. In the earlier shows, my eyes used to swell due to constant use of glycerin.

You have always nailed your role from Anushka to Amaya to Pari, so what do you expect from this role?
I really expect my fans and viewers to love me, and they have been supporting me from day one. I have tried really very hard to do something different, and which does not look awkward as there’s a very thin line in between. Hope this looks different and doesn’t look monotonous.

Do you believe in love marriage or arrange marriage?
I believe in love marriage. Let’s see what is store for me.

What’s your take on extra marital affair?
Oh My God! It’s a really sick thing. Cheating your partner after being in a relationship,is the worst thing anybody can do to anyone, and to themselves.

How is your relation with Jay Soni and Shruti Rawat off-screen?
They made me comfortable on the very first day, and Shruti is a good adviser I feel. So, it was great fun and everybody was sweet working with.

Are you in touch with Pearl V Puri (who she rumoured to be dating)?
Yes, on and off, I am in touch with him.
