It’s cameos galore in Tere Sheher Mein

Producer Rajan Shahi is not called the ‘Subhash Ghai of small screen’ without a reason. Like his Bollywood counterpart, Shahi is known for launching many careers on television. The two also share a love for cameos. The only difference is, while Ghai has a habit of making blink-and-miss appearances in the movies produced by him, Shahi prefers roping in senior actors who have previously worked with his production house, Directors Kut Production (DKP).
In keeping with the ‘tradition’, Shahi’s latest show Tere Sheher Mein has some established actors in guest roles- Amit Behl as a newspaper editor, Mohit Chauhan as an Export Oriented Unit officer, Paritosh Sand as Rishi’s (played by Sachin Tyagi) lawyer, Neeraj Malviya as Rachita’s (Anjum Fakih) fiancé and Raymon Singh as a news editor.
Says Shahi, “Cameos have been a part of all my shows, including Bidaai, which marked my debut as a producer. In Tere Sheher Mein, even the cameo roles are important and so, I wanted senior actors to play them. When it comes to choosing actors, I am partial towards those who have worked with us in the past. In fact, I consider them as DKP’s brand ambassadors. I am happy and proud to say that I enjoy tremendous goodwill in the industry, so actors readily agree to be part of my shows. I feel blessed.”
Isn’t this really interesting???
