Actor Siddhant Karnick has been in the TV industry for about 14 years. It has been a “journey worthwhile”, but the “Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani” actor is also eagerly waiting to work in a Bollywood film.
He has played a vampire, a rowdy character, a theatre actor and more on the small screen.
“It’s been a journey worthwhile, but surely not complete. I’ve got to play more diverse characters and I have really enjoyed playing the roles that I’ve played so far,” says Siddhant .
Among various things, he wants to do a Bollywood film.
“Bollywood has always been part of my plan. I’m waiting for the right opportunity. I leave it up to my fate,” said the “Remix” actor.
For now, he is excited about the second season of “Kaal Bhairav Rahasya”.
“I play Yashvardhan, elder brother of actor Gautam Rode”>Gautam Rode (Veervardhan). As per the storyline which says a curse was put on villages for 150 years due to which every descendent born into the family would die before turning 30 years old,” he said.
“It will be interesting to see what happens and how the mystery of the curse gets solved. It’s a positive character. He is loved by everyone. He seems to be having all the qualities of being a king. I think the character is a bunch of royal goodness,” added the Mere Sai actor.
Asked about Indian TV shows having seasons, he shared: “I love the concept of seasons. I remember being part of show by YRF Television (a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films Pvt. Ltd.) which was season-based. The concept of seasons helps the makers to experiment with new ideas and opens ways to new storytelling.”
“It also allows the actors to play a range of new characters. Unlike a daily soap where the storyline keeps changing every week because of TRPs, a season-based show’s narrative is pre-planned and it gives more clarity to understand the show and the character’s graph.”
