Balika Vadhu – Ek Naya Adhyay begins today!

Balika Vadhu undertakes a huge step as the new chapter (Ek Naya Adhyay) will commence today.

Colors flagship and leading show Balika Vadhu since past seven years has been constantly entertaining the viewers. The social message that the show gives out at the end of each episode have worked exactly the way the makers wanted it to.

Balika Vadhu is a tale of a girl, Anandi, (Avika Gor/ Pratyusha Banerjee/ Toral Rasputra) who fell prey of the illegal practice of Child Marriage. The story about how Anandi fought for her rights and how she fought against Child Marriage practice. This hard hitting and much sensitive issue brought in lime light by Sujoy Waddhwa, has changed the perspective of the masses too.

Now that Balika Vadhu successfully surpassed the record set by 1833 episodes of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Star Plus), the show has come up with ‘Ek Naya Adhyay’. While Shiv’s family will see an exit from the show, a new family will be introduced.

The new chapter is about Anandi and her three month old daughter, Nandini/ Nimboli (Gracy Goswami). Akheraj Singh (Sunil Singh) kidnaps Nimboli and gets her married to his son Kundan (Sparsh Srivastav). Harkhi Devi (Rudrakshi Gupta) is Nandini / Nimboli’s cunning, impolite and gender biased mother-in-law.

Balika Vadhu – Ek Naya Adhyay is about Nandini/Nimboli’s struggle and how Anandi reacts when she sees her daughter falling prey of such practice which she always opposed.
