When it comes to leading lady Ashi Singh, it has been a different story for her. Singh, as we know replaced Avneet Kaur in the show post-COVID 19 and she was met with immense flak and trolls on facing the same.
The fans of actor Siddharth Nigam and the show Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga were in for a shock indeed where it was recently confirmed that the show, after running for a year and a half is all set to go off-air. Having managed to attain quite a following, the show is loved by many even as it is calling it a wrap.
However, when it comes to leading lady Ashi Singh, it has been a different story for her. Singh, as we know replaced Avneet Kaur in the show post-COVID 19 and she was met with immense flak and trolls on facing the same.
However, now, Singh’s fans and the actor herself have been so attached to the show where the actor even had tears in her eyes while shooting for her last. Singh shot the climax of the show only recent and while there was pin-drop silence after Nigam said the final dialogue, it was Singh who broke down and began crying.
In an interview with Times of India, she opened up first about facing the trolls after replacement, “As much as I could, I avoided reading and seeing the comments because I knew that would affect me. I had replaced someone and I guess something like this was bound to happen. It was a challenge and I had to prove myself. I think I did manage that because gradually people accepted me too in the part.”
About the character and show wrapping-up, she said, “The character of Jasmin is like my baby which I was raising on the set. Apart from this, handling swords and climbing on a harness are things which I did for the first time and I am glad that I got to do all that.” About her bond with Nigam, she said, I met Siddharth on the sets only and I never thought that we would become such good friends. He has been immensely supportive and there are no professional filters between us. The bond we have makes me feel that we are some long lost friends who reunited.”
We can certainly say that the show and the actors will be remembered and loved.
