When actors share a good chemistry off-screen, it translates into great chemistry on-screen too. Similar is the case with Sheena Bajaj and Ankit Bathla, who have a romantic track on the popular show Thapki…Pyaar Ki. Sheena and Ankit are great friends off-screen and the two, unlike other popular TV jodis, have sweet things to say about each other.
Sheena, a talented actress, says Ankit cracks her up, “It’s great working with Ankit because he is very funny off-screen. The specialty of our equation is that we gel very well and know each other since very long.”
Ankit too shares the same sentiment. He says,”Sheena and I are extremely comfortable with each other as friends. We do a hell load of masti together on the set which in turn enhances our equation on screen.”
Both of them clicked instantly when they met on the set of the show, and the quaint irreverence in their bond is what the viewers are appreciating. In fact, Sheena feels it’s the bond they share that had her make a comeback on the show, based on the public demand. She reveals “It’s apparent that we share a great chemistry on screen. People are loving me in the show a lot. I have got great appreciation and so much love, it’s like I’m back on public and producer’s demand. And, of course, am happy to be back.”
Ankit, on the other hand, says it is important to vibe well with co-stars, “It’s extremely important to bond with your co-stars because a crew is like your family away from home. I genuinely believe it’s important to be good friends to transfer the effect onscreen .”
This bonding has, in fact, translated into an increase in ratings, which other shows may be interested in taking note. Ankit says, “We are at a rating of 1.2 at 6.30, which is a great thing. Kudos to our brilliant writers and team. In fact, I feel it’s just going to get better since we are shooting some very interesting sequences with loads of twists and turns. There’s a lot of masala coming up for the viewers.”
We just hope other TV jodis make note of this because this bonding is clearly showing some interesting and positive results!
