Ali Hassan, who came to the limelight with his positive turned negative portrayal in Balaji Telefilms’ Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, is today excited to play the lead role after many years.
He has recently entered Zee TV’s Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke (Shakuntalam Telefilms) as the new man in Rachana’s (Mahima Makwana) life, and the actor in him is excited about the turnaround in his career.
Says Ali, “I am reminded of the past when I played the positive lead in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii who later turned negative. And now, to bag a lead role after so many years is in itself exciting. My aim now will be to take this character to great heights, and see the TRP of the show rising.”
Talking about his character, the man states, “I play the character of Omi who is actually a hot-tempered man. I have not shot much as of now, as today is just my second day at shoot. All I know is that he is going to play a predominant role in Rachana’s future.”
Ali who is an experienced actor with a good body of work is all praises for Mahima, who essays the role of Rachana. “There are actors who are really good. There are few who are not so good; and there are those who can just manage to do their work. Mahima is a very fine actor and she is a senior to me when it comes to this show as she has been around from day one. She has been very co-operative and warm. And when you get the support of your co-actor whether it is a male or female, you tend to get all the confidence,” he avers.
Getting back to the track of introducing him as the main lead opposite a younger Rachana, Ali explains, “You have to term this as a big experiment on part of the makers. I simply hope this works for them, as it needs a lot of courage to bring in such a male lead. There is a very good track ahead for the audience to see, and that is what I can promise.”
Ali, wish you luck!!
