Actor Paresh Ganatra ROPED in for Star Plus’s Khichdi

After Renuka Shahane, Deepshikha Nagpal and Debina Bonnerjee Choudhary, the latest to join the team of Khichdi is Paresh Ganatra.
The actor who has always been part of Hat’s Off family Production and shows like Baa Bahu Aur Baby will now be a part of the cult-comedy.

Paresh who played an important role in Khichdi: The Movie has now been roped in to play one of the significant characters.

Much-awaited Khichdi is making its comeback on the small screen from April 14. The cult comedy show that launched in 2002, and aired two successful seasons, is all set to tickle the funny bones of the viewers once again. The series, tentatively titled Khichdi Returns will air on weekends at 9 pm on Star Plus, for an hour.

Apart from Paresh Ganatra, the main characters of the show have been retained. The new series will feature the same talented cast – Anang Desai, Supriya Pathak, Vandana Pathak, Rajeev Mehta and JD Majethia.

The show that revolved around the comic situations of a dysfunctional Gujarati family made a debut in 2002 and lasted for two good years. The show revamped for a second season in 2005 as Instant Khichdi and was later adapted into a Hindi film.
